L.C. Smith Olympic Grade Single Barrel Trap Shotgun, #111097. 12 ga.. 32'' vent rib barrel has a 2-3/4'' chamber and is choked Full. Boxlock action locks up with a rectangular crossbolt and locking lug on the rib extension, and features an auto ejector and no safety. Receiver is case hardened, with light scroll and edge engraving; barrel, triggerguard and tangs remain blue. Wood is slightly better than Field Grade showing a beavertail forend with Schnabel tip, pistol-grip buttstock with horizontal comb, plastic grip cap, and Whiteline recoil pad; dimensions are 14.5''x1.5''x1.75''. Mfg'd 1928. Condition is excellent as restored, with receiver re-cased and barrel reblued. Wood has some handling marks and also significant surface crazing. Action has been tightened to lock tight; trigger and ejector work correctly; bore is bright and recoil pad is hard. Est.: $900-$1,500. (C&R)
