Colt Model 1873 Single Action Army Cartridge Revolver, #336447, .45 Colt CF cal., 5.5'' round barrel with one-line ''Colt's Pt. F.A. Mfg. Co. Hartford, CT. U.S.A.'' top address and ''45 Colt'' marked on left side, 6-shot fluted cylinder, left frame with two-line 1871-72-75 patent dates and ''Rampant Colt'' logo, full nickel plate finish, earlier one-piece varnished walnut grips. Mfg'd 1917. All matching visible serial numbers; loading gate correctly marked ''417''. Condition is very good with possibly refinished frame and sharp markings overall, retaining approx. 75% nickel; cylinder and ejector tube with a more aged color. Grips are very good, having been sanded and now slightly undersized with smoothed chips at both toes. Action is crisp and light, perhaps tuned; bore is clean with sharp rifling. Est.: $1,000-$1,500.
