Colt Model 1873 Single Action Army Cartridge Revolver, #244747, .38 WCF cal., 5.5'' round barrel with one-line ''Colt's Pt. F.A. Mfg. Co. Hartford, CT. U.S.A.'' top address and ''38 W.C.F.'' marked on left side, 6-shot fluted cylinder, left frame with two-line 1871-72-75 patent dates and ''Rampant Colt'' logo, full nickel plate finish, two-piece ''steer head'' composite grips. Mfg'd 1903. All matching visible serial numbers; loading gate correctly marked ''1026''. Condition is very good with possibly refinished frame and straps; sharp markings overall, retaining approx. 90% nickel. Grips are very good with sharp detail. Action is crisp and light, perhaps tuned; bore is clean with sharp rifling. Est.: $1,000-$1,500. (C&R/PPT)
