^Lot 349 Original Oil on Board by Robin Anderson

"Indian Chief" signed lower left. Image measures 19 1/2" x 11 1/2" with gold wood and linen inset inside a wood frame. From the age of 10, Robin Anderson knew he wanted to be an artist. He studied with Hungarian Tibor Kalman, who emphasized the European academic tradition. He also took instruction at the Art Students League in New York City, painting models "to understand the landscape." He became a resident of Clarkdale, Arizona, and painted scenery in the Jerome and Sedona areas. Anderson is now a resident of Jerome.
