Colt Bisley Model Single Action revolver, .44-40 caliber, 4.75” barrel, blued and case hardened finish, checkered hard rubber grips, S/N 276819; overall good condition with a dark patina to metal surfaces, some faint hints of case colors in protected areas of frame, grips are worn and show an old well-done repair to the front toe of the left grip. Consignor notes it is his belief that this Colt belonged to Augustas Blake Mason, Sheriff of San Diego Co. (1923-1954) as he purchased the gun and stated history from the Sheriff’s daughter.
