Colt 1862 Police .36 caliber percussion with 6 ½” barrel and scarce iron guard and back strap, S/N 595 with Hartford address. Light gray brown patina with minor erosion and surface pitting. The marking is light but visible. All matching. Grips show 1 large chip missing at the left toe otherwise good and genuine to the period of manufacturing. The patent is sharp on the cylinder.
