W.L. Hudson marked percussion half-stock plains rifle, approximately .50 caliber. The rifle is in fair overall condition with a 36” octagon barrel. The metal surfaces are a uniform dark brown patina with the barrel flat marked, “WL HUDSON MAKER” and old engraving on the side plate. The rifle is missing the ramrod. The smooth wood stock shows heavy wear and use with a pewter cap and steel crescent butt plate. The action is not working at the time of description. Est.: $300-$600. (Antique).
