American Half Stocked Plains rifle with back action lock in .52 smoothbore for buckshot or ball. Single keyed barrel with fancy pewter fore end cap. Brass scroll guard with single trigger. Lock working. Good to very good overall condition with normal aging and circa 1850-70. Measures 52” overall with a 37” barrel. Dr. Cairns collection in storage for decades. (Antique) Est.: $200-$400
