German Model Kar 98k Mauser Bolt Action Rifle, #7357Y, 8x57mm cal., 23.6'' barrel, blued finish, laminated stock, inverted ''V'' front sight with hood and adjustable tangent rear sight. Marked on receiver ring ''dot 1944'' with a Waffenampt 63 code stamp and on left side receiver rail ''Mod.98''. No markings visible on stock. All numbers mismatched. Includes a cleaning rod and unmarked German WWII style leather sling in very good condition. Hole drilled through bayonet lug. Condition overall is very good with approx. 95 % finish remaining on metal surfaces, with frosting on the floorplate and a matte finish to the buttplate. Bolt has been reblued and toned to a plum color. Stock has several areas with dowel and spliced wood repairs of darker color. Wood has been sanded and refinished with a satin type stain, in very good condition showing only a few old handling marks. Action is smooth, bore is very good. No visible import stamps.
