Colt Police Positive Special First Issue Double Action Revolver, #55526, .32-20 cal., 5'' barrel, blue finish, checkered hard rubber ''Colt'' marked grips, half-round front sight and frame notched rear sight. Left sideplate with ''Rampant Colt'' and stylized ''C'' logo; top of barrel with two-line ''July 4, 1905'' last patent date address. Mfg'd 1912. Condition is very good with approx. 80% blue. Frame and cylinder with high polish dark blue finish; barrel is slightly more standard blue in color and sheen; both finishes appear original. Maker's marks are clear; barrel address with crisp edges. Grips with normal small handling marks to the flat borders; left grip with one minor flat spot to the checks which is otherwise excellent. Action is good. Bright bore rates very good; lands show moderate wear. Est.: $250-$450. (C&R/PPT)
