^Lot 378 Colt Model 1917 Double Action Revolver

Colt Model 1917 Double Action Revolver, #57787, .45 ACP cal., 5.5'' barrel, blue finish, smooth walnut grips, with ''JMG'' inspector markings to left side of frame. Mfg'd 1917-1918. (Ref. the book, ''The Model 1911 and Model 1911A1 Military and Commercial Pistols'', page 36, by Joe Poyer.) Condition is very good retaining approx. 80%-85% flaking blue, with most of the losses to the barrel. Very light pry mark just forward the grips to triggerguard. Cylinder latch with phosphate finish (may be a post-WWI replacement). Grips with some smoothing. Good action, fine bore. Est.: $500-$750. (C&R/PPT) (Joe Poyer collection)
