Smith & Wesson K-38 Target Masterpiece ''Pre-Model 14'' Double Action Revolver, #K88762, .38 Spec. cal., 6'' pinned barrel, blue finish, checkered walnut diamond center grips with S&W medallions; grips are numbered to the gun. Sights include a Patridge front and square notched micrometer click rear. Revolver also features a color case hardened hammer and trigger. In two-piece blue S&W box with white end label and blue lettering; box is hand numbered on the bottom to another gun. Also included is the owner's manual and cleaning accessories. Mfg'd 1950. Approx. 98% factory blue remains and revolver rates as excellent overall. Muzzle shows minor wear; left side of barrel with a few tiny specks of finish loss; cylinder with light index line. Hammer and trigger retain 95%+ vibrant case colors. Factory lettering is sharp. Grips show a few scattered light handling marks; checkering is crisp. Action and bore are both excellent.
