Lot 535a Steyr M95 Cavalry Rifle 8x56Rmm SN: 7366N

Austrian military clip-fed straight pull bolt action service rifle chambered in 8x56Rmm, manufactured circa 1895-1918. Imported by C.A.I. of Georgia, V.T. with import marks on the left side of the receiver. Features a blued finish, 19.5" barrel with "S" stamped over the chamber, tall dovetailed inverted 'v' front sight, flip-up ladder style rear sight graduated to 2,000 meters, sling swivels on the left side of the stock, two barrel bands with stacking rod & bayonet lug on the front band, straight bolt handle, knurled cocking piece, manual safety on the left side of the bolt, smooth trigger, smooth wood handguard and semi-pistol grip shoulder stock with finger groove forend & metal buttplate. Serial numbers match on the receiver, barrel, front barrel band, bolt handle(electropencil) and stock. Rifle retains approximately 70% of it's blued finish showing thinning. Action is smooth, the bore is near good and the wood stocks are good with a loss at the top of the wrist near the receiver.
