Lot 419a The Swift Training Rifle S.R. Mk. III
British military No 4 pattern bolt action training rifle developed in the 1940's to assist with the fundamentals of marksmanship. The rifle works with a series of 'safeties' that train the proper use of an Enfield rifle and uses a paper target with a protruding needle that lines up with the sight and pokes a corresponding hole in the target. Includes a wood transit case marked "Mark III" & "SMLE MARK IV PATTERN." The plaque on the rifle reads THE SWIFT TRAINING RIFLE"/S..R. MK. III" & "14345." In near excellent condition.
