Lot 153 Erfurt 1883 Reichsrevolver 10.55mm SN: 4600

Early German military single action revolver chambered in 10.55mm, manufactured at the Erfurt factory circa 1883-1898. Features a blued finish, 4.6" part octagon barrel, forged blade front sight, 'v' notched rear sight, church-steeple-fluted six-shot cylinder with counterbored chambers, rounded trigger, knurled hammer spur, manual safety on the left side of the frame, lanyard ring and two-piece smooth wood grips. All observed serial numbers are matching, including the grips. Revolver retains approximately 25% of its blued finish with the balance of the metal surfaces either in-the-white or showing dark patina with scattered pitting found throughout. Action is strong with very good lock-up, the bore shows heavy pitting towards the muzzle, markings are good and the wood grips are near good.
