Fine Quality Georgian style Flintlock Pistol by Thorpe with Silver mounts circa 1760-1780's in French and Indian War to Revolutionary Era. 17 1/2" overall with 11" bbl of approx. .62 cal. smoothbore. Finesilver mounts with pierced and scrolled side plate showing matching motiffs on mountings. The butt cap screw is replaced. Original flintlock with correct small parts and very good overall condition. The silver plaque inwrist shows English Lion holding jousting lance. An elegant pistol with superior length and form.
