Hand carved powder horn by D.R. Tupper for himself and signed 1980’s. D.R> Tupper was a well-known artist, coin dealer and historian in Santa Ana who was also a renaissance man of many talents and peculiarities. Colored Lot Title scenes of pixies and elves. Over 1000 hours to carve and color. Never offered for sale. This artist could carve 18th century horn to exacting standards and Walter O’ Connor stated “It’s good he is honest and signs his Lot Title work or they would pass most experts”.
