Winchester 4th Model 1866 lever action rifle, .44 WCF caliber, Serial #156287. The rifle is in good overall condition with a 24” octagon barrel with a blade front and replacement rear sights. The barrel and Lot Title full-length magazine have gone a grey patina with areas of light surface erosion. The brass receiver has taken on a pleasing taffy color with small mars and scratches. The Hammer and lever display old, toning case Lot Title hardening. The smooth wood stocks are in good condition with small compressions and an extra coat of varnish added. The butt stock ends with a smooth steel crescent butt with trap. The bore is fair, the action is crisp Lot Title and markings are sharp on this desirable 4th Model 1866 Yellow Boy.
