17AY-7 WINCHESTER MDL 1887 #44777Winchester Model 1887 lever action shotgun, 12 gauge, Serial #44777. The shotgun is in good overall condition with a 30” barrel with a brass bead front sight. The barrel and receiver have gone to a dark brown patinawith some areas of light surface erosion. The Winchester markings on the receiver remain crisp. The smooth wood stocks are in good condition showing heavy use with numerous mars and compressions from carry and use. The butt ends with a smooth steel butt plate providing a 13” LOP. The bore is fair, the action crisp and markings are legible on this desirable Winchester manufactured in 1890.
