Robert J. Onderdonk (1852-1917) Texan. "San Pedro Creek, San Antonio, Texas." 5-1/2" x 9-1/2" oil on panel. Titled and signed on back. Robert Onderdonk was known as the "Dean of Texas Artists", father of Julian Onderdonk, and painted the famous painting, "The Fall of the Alamo" which hangs in the Governor's Mansion in Austin, Texas. His works are hard to find.
