Lot 910 Hopi Flower Kachina Doll
This Hopi Flower Kachina Doll is a colorful deity that we acquired at auction recently. Hand carved cottonwood is painted with life-giving water imagery throughout. His case mask displays rain and rainbow symbolism, a yellow beak and red paddle ears with blossom centers. There are water/wave symbols on his kilt and he carries a rattle and rain stick. He's also trimmed with real feathers, feather fluffs, yarn & a fur ruff. About 16" tall & 8-1/2" wide. Unsigned, circa 1980's, this Hopi Flower Kachina Doll was professionally restored by master carver, Milton Howard.
