Colt 1851 Navy .36 caliber percussion revolver, S/N 71099 with iron guard and New York address. This revolver remains in good condition with cleaned gray patina finish aging back and minor coloring or browning.Good markings. The front sight has been period changed to copper post. Neat period repair to the trigger guard and back strap. The grips have been sanded slightly but still fit well with large chips to the inside ofeach “toe”. Traces of cylinder scene and all matching visible serial numbers. Strong traces of case hardening under the lever with tight action and good interior. A fairly scarce variation.
