^Lot 657 H&R Safety Automatic .38 S&W SN: E70849

Harrington & Richardson blued, top-break, double-action only, 5-shot revolver with a 3-3/16" barrel, fixed sights, case-hardened hammer and trigger and hard rubber grips. Bluing is worn to a mottled black and grey on exposed areas with freckles from rust, scratches, scuffs and dings. Bore is shiny with strong rifling and maybe a tiny bit of rust near the muzzle. Action does not work in single action, double action only. Barrel locking is tight. Cylinder lock-up is loose on 2 chambers and rotation is hesitant on one chamber. The hard rubber checkered grips have a large chip out of the bottom of the right panel. Condition is fair to good. *Modern Firearm*
