^Lot 351 Smith & Wesson .38 Safety Hammerless

SN: 161188 '4th Model Lemon Squeezer' Vintage double-action hammerless revolver chambered in .38 Smith & Wesson, circa 1898-1907. Features a blued finish, 3.25" ribbed barrel, pinned round blade front sight, notched rear window sight, fluted 5-shot cylinder, automatic extractor, smooth case hardened trigger, 'T' shaped barrel latch with knurled side knobs, backstrap safety and two-piece diamond checkered black hard rubber grips with S&W monograms. Revolver exhibits approximately 75% of it's original bright blued finish showing a heavy loss on the right side of the barrel, smaller losses along the barrel rib and light areas of scattered wear including on the top of the backstrap, on the sideplate & on the cylinder. Action is smooth with solid lock-up, bore appears excellent what what may be two small spots of dark rust and matching grips are near fine showing a crack in the bottom of the left panel.
