Koto period wakasashi (Medium size sword) with an 18” blade and unsigned. Fully polished and traditional mountings. The blade shows fancy and “bumpy” temper with minor opening to the lamination from age and minute imperfections. Fancy lacquered scabbard in very good condition. Pierced iron tsuba. Modern (Japan) restoration to wrap and grip. Missing kozuka knife in the scabbard. Est.: $800-$1600
