Best quality South American dagger of 19th to early turn of the century. Engraved sterling silver with grip in for of a large busty lady with elaborate curls. Finely engraved with hanger attachment showing hand holdingring attached by a silver chain. Good quality steel blade showing simple for and some sharpening and use. In original satin and velvet casing. Measures 13” overall with a 9 ¼” blade. Similar to gaucho knives butearlier and finer quality than most. Either an estancia owners or presentation piece.
