Colt 1st Model Dragoon S/N 3995 with commercial varnished grips and silvered back strap and trigger guard. This Dragoon remains in very good plus original condition showing strong traces of blue and case hardeningwith a natural patina. Minor discoloration and beginning erosion with just normal aging and slight pitting. 50%-60% scene with fully visible Colt’s patent and Ornsby signature. Good sharp marking on the barrel and addresswith visible but light Colt patent on the frame. All matching serial numbers. Very good plus to almost fine grips with 80% or more original varnish, impeccable fit, and only minimal natural aging. 50%-60% originalsilver that is uncleaned and has a nice overall patina. An outstanding 1st model that we would score an 8 on a 1-10 scale as it is far better than normally found with pristine grips. (Antique) Est.: $7,000-$14,000
