Smith-Corona U.S. Model 1903 A3 bolt action rifle, .30 caliber, serial #3642115. The rifle is in very good overall condition with a 24” barrel with a blade front and military aperture style rear sights. The barrel andreceiver retain a significant amount of their military finish with wear at the muzzle. The barrel is Remington marked and dated 3-44 with the flaming bomb emblem. The receiver retains a significant amount of old packinggrease. The smooth wood stock shows moderate wear, has a small amount of wood loss behind the tang and has a “P” cartouche behind the trigger guard. Additionally, the butt stock is serialized to the action andfeatures a, “RIA” cartouche on the left side. The stock includes sling swivels and ends with a checkered steel butt plate with trap. The bore is good, the action is crisp and markings are sharp. The lot includes the CMPcertificate of authenticity provided at purchase. (C+R) Est.: $300-$600.
