Koto period wakasashi (medium size sword) with 18” unsigned blade in traditional mountings missing kozuka knife in scabbard. Full and recently polish exposing a couple of minor flaws to the lamination. Iron piercedtsuba silvered and gilt outside edge. Gold gilted soft metal fittings with very old and worn menuki. Nice two tone lacquered scabbard and dark blue old wrap to the grip. An above average and old blade with good mountings.Est.: $800-$1600
