This donation is all inclusive and includes all transport, all accommodation, meals, table wine and sundowners, one PH (2x1), skinning and field preparation of trophies, local hunting license fees, and delivery of trophies to the taxidermist. Included in the package is a springbok grand slam of the four different sub species, three other animals (1 klipspringer, 1 red hartebeest, 1 zebra), all to be shared between the two hunters.
The trip is planned for 2017, but if the bidder wants to use it in 2018, Rob is asking that he be kept whole by the bidder for any increase from 2017 to 2018 in his external costs of hotels for the trip to Cape Town. Also the fishing is outsourced to an experienced operator, so planning will be needed to ensure an open day with good weather. Being close enough to the coast, the hunting schedule could be adjusted while there to take account of the weather. Included in the day count is a day to transfer between the hunting lodge and the fishing area.
It excludes air travel from North America to Port Elizabeth and return from Cape Town, taxidermy costs, export of trophies to North America, and staff gratuities. The trip can be extended at $350/day for hunters and $150/day for non-hunters. If the trip to Cape Town is to be extended, the cost would be $650/day/person, all in $CDN. There is also lots of plains game that can be added to the trip.
Royal Karoo Safaris is situated in the mountain country of the Eastern Cape where the Great Karoo meets Valley Bushveld, resulting in the highest population density of Eastern Cape kudu in South Africa and so offering excellent walk and stalk hunting in this challenging setting. A wide variety of Plains and Bushveld game species are offered in their natural habitat with the region being rated as having the best kudu hunting in Africa.
