Sporterized American made bolt action service rifle chambered in 7.62x54Rmm, produced by the New England Westinghouse Co. circa 1915. Features a blued refinish, 22.5" barrel, 03-A3 style front sight, graduated rear sight to 3,200 meters, short bent bolt handle, integral box magazine with hinged floorplate, smooth trigger and straight grip wood shoulder stock with metal buttplate. Serial numbers are non-matching. Markings: Receiver - flaming bomb Barrel: - eagle head/X5, eagle head/X4 and eagle head/X2 marked twice. Rifle bears approximately 65& of it's blued refinish showing scattered pitting and oxidation. Action performs well, bore is dark with good rifling and wood stock is very good.
