^Lot 551 Indo-Persian Parade Shield

Indo-Persian Parade Shield, circa 1880-1910, approx. 19'' across and 4'' deep, decorated with four bosses held by hooped screws, and acid etched scenes from the Moghul period including tiger hunting scenes, all surrounded by two floral motif on the rim. All decorations are painted in a polychrome scheme that has faded with time. Shield is now coated with varnish to protect from deterioration. Est.: $500-$750.
