Evans Single Shot Lever Action Sporting Rifle, NVSN, .44 Evans CF cal., 26'' part-round barrel, case hardened lever, burl walnut buttstock and fancy forend, musket style rear sight, steel bead factory front sight, machine matted receiver top, with barrel marked ''Evans Repeating Rifle. Mechanic Falls, ME. Pat. Dec. 8, 1868 & Sep. 16, 1871 U.S.A.'' Condition is excellent retaining approx. 96% blue with just the lightest thinning to high edges and to domes of screw heads. Case hardened lever shows approx. 85% vivid colors with some speckling to bottom rear portion of lever. Stunning burlwood buttstock shows rich and vibrant flames with only the lightest marks from handling. Fancy grade forend with light scuffs. Action is crisp, bore is bright. Est.: $1,800-$2,400.
