carbine, 30-30 caliber, serial #USA04510. The rifle is in very good overall condition with a 20” round barrel. The barrel is marked, “Bicentennial 1767-1967”. The barrel and full-length magazine retain a significant amount of their original blued finish with slight wear at the muzzle. The receiver shows significant muted case color, saddle ring and has tasteful border engraving and an American eagle depicted. The smooth wood stocks are in very good condition with only slight handling marks and some light surface rust at the top of the butt plate. The butt stock has a commemorative medallion inset and ends with a smooth, metal crescent butt plate. The bore is very good, the action sharp and markings are crisp. (Modern) Est.: $400-$800.
