Lot 1089 Central European polearm (Possibly Italian) circa 15th-16th century

on its original fluted and studded shaft. The blade measures slightly over 18” in length and approximately 5 ¾” across the widest portion. The blade shows high quality by master armourer with raised central ridges and well executed hand forging. The shaft is carved with raised ridges and shows hundreds of studs along with over 12” reinforced tangs forged in one piece with the socket. Some light to scattered heavy pitting but very good overall and absolutely uncleaned and as found. Approximately 7’2” overall. Absolutely genuine. Est.: $1000-$2000
