Smith & Wesson .38 Safety Hammerless Third Model Double Action Revolver with "Sheriff Rudy Kropp Rock Island Co. Illinois" Inscription and Framed Appointment

This revolver was manufactured towards the beginning of the 1890-1898 production range. The left side of frame is engraved "RUDY KROPP/SHERIFF/ROCK ISLAND CO./ILL." The framed certificate is signed by Governor Henry Horner for Kropp's appointment on November 25, 1934, as Sheriff of Rock Island County, Illinois.
