Two Ames U.S. Cavalry Swords
1) Ames 1860 cavalry sword, 40 1/2" OAL, 34 1/2" blade dated "1863", brass hilt, leather grip, iron scabbard. 2) Ames 1840 cavalry sword, 40 3/4" OAL, 35 1/2" blade dated "1847", brass hilt, leather grip. Both are fair, with wear/loss in the grip area.
