Flintlock Blunderbuss With Elephant Lockplate, 1 3/8" bore diameter at muzzle, 15 1/8" round barrel. The barrel is marked with an indistinguishable oval proof mark, possibly Birmingham or Liege. The lockplate is marked withan elephant besides what appears to be a crown proof. Warranted is marked at the rear. Walnut stock with brass tipped ramrod, brass ferrule, brass triggerguard and brass cupped buttplate. The initials W.R. are carved into the rear of thebutt on the left side. The barrel has a grayish brown patina, with micro pitting throughout. The brass has a darker patina. The stock has mild nicks and dings. The mechanics function properly. Est:$800-1,200
