Early U.S. Springfield Model 1903 Bolt-Action Military Rifle, .30-06 caliber, 24” barrel, S/N 1955. Marked “A.V.” with flaming bomb proof and dated 2-19. Military finish, wood stock, leather sling. This gun is in overall very good to nearfine condition showing the majority of its military finish, good bore, crisp action, very good markings and a very good stock including the circle “P” proof behind the triggerguard. A small stamped “5” in the same area, “J.E.C.” inspector’s mark on the left side of the stock above the triggerguard, “17” stamped on the rear left side of the buttstock and “17 361” stamped on the right rear side of the buttstock.
