Colt SAA revolver, .44-40 caliber, 7.5” barrel, S/N 160608, blued and case hardened finish, checkered black hard rubber grips, in overall very good to fine condition showing the majority of its original blued finish on barrel assembly; oldre-blue to cylinder, traces of original case colors in protected areas of the frame with balance gone to silver tone; matching visible numbers, fine bore, crisp action, sharp markings and very good + grips. Accompanied by a Coltfactory letter confirming features with notation of shipment to Colt’s Patent Firearms Co., San Francisco Agency, S.F., CA on May 11, 1895, five guns in shipment. (Antique).
