Colt .38 caliber centerfire revolver with 3 ½” round barrel and 1871-72 patent dates, S/N 312055 made in own range with left over percussion parts in the early frontier era. The barrel and cylinder retain 80%-90% original blue starting to driftand tone on the cylinder with 80%-90% original scene remains going slightly light. The frame and hammer shows 75%-85% bright and colorful case hardening. The grips are very good plus with 70%-80% varnish and just slight edge wear andminor aging. The straps shows traces of silver. The screws and small parts still show their bright fire blue. Minor nicks with a few scratches. Crisp and original overall with all matching serial numbers. The action and interior arepristine.
