W. Ketland marked trade style pistol circa early 19th century converted from flintlock to percussion with 10” octagon steel barrel in approximately .69 caliber smoothbore showing a dark brown patina with normal rust and erosion.The stock shows a crack near the muzzle in the ramrod channel. Works well and good overall. No ramrod. The wood is good overall. Just the type imported to the U.S. shortly after the war of 1812 in the early western expansion and for trade era.
