^Lot 489 Iver Johnson Model X Cal: .22 S/L/LR SN: NVSN

This is a "Self Cocking Safety Rifle". Blued, bolt-action, single-shot rifle with a 24" barrel, fixed sights, and repaired wood stock with steel buttplate. Bluing has faded to a gray-brown color with surface rust freckling and some pitting. Action works well and is rather interesting in design. Bore is shiny with rifling. Stock has been painted brown and had a catastrophic break through the forend that has been crudely repaired with nails and glue. Condition is poor to fair. *Modern Firearm*
