Sharps New Model 1863 Metallic Cartridge Conversion Carbine, #75703, .50-70 CF cal., 22'' blue three-grooved lined barrel, case hardened frame, cartouched walnut stock and forend. Condition is very good. Barrel retains approx. 85% toning blue. Frame with case colors in protected areas. Minor frosting to metal finishes at rear portion of lock. Stock shows considerable shrinkage at buttplate, and forend with wear and thinning at balance point. Action is good, bore is mirror bright, lever spring may be weak. Est.: $1,200-$1,800. (Antique)
