Single sheet advertisement entitled “All About the Alaska Klondike Gold Fields and the Wonderful Talking Machine” advertising the 1898 patented Edison talking machine. The advertisement shows great scenes of gold miners and tells of the magic lantern that accompanies the talking machine which shows views of the frozen North country and the newly discovered Gold fields. This advertisement documents the combination of the talking machine and the magic lantern together before film. The advertisement was printed by Sears, Roebuck and Company who was selling these machines in 1898. The advertisement measures approximately 24” x 18” and is in good condition with normal age.
