Winchester Model 1873 semi-deluxe special order lever action rifle, .38-40 caliber, 26” round barrel, S/N 132584A, blued and case hardened finish, set trigger (working at time of description); wood stocks in overall good to very good condition displaying a dark patina to barrel assembly with scattered surface erosion; primarily grey patina to receiver with some silver tone, crisp action, good markings and good to very good bore. The wood stocks are good with better-than-average graining to the butt stock that also shows an old “V” shaped crack on the left side behind the wrist. Original factory letter confirms features and notes “Received in the warehouse on September 26, 1883” and “Shipped from the warehouse on September 29, 1883 to order number 7419”. Est.: $2,500-$5,000.
