U.S. flintlock contract musket by Sutton dated 1810, approximately .75 caliber, 44.5” barrel, three barrel bands, sling swivels, full length wood stock and flared tip iron ramrod in overall good condition showing a grey patina on metal surfaces with some scattered spots of erosion, good action, good markings and overall good wood. The butt plate is pitted from contact with moisture, there is a “WK” carved into the rear left side of the butt stock and and “XI” on the right side; there are some losses to the bottom of the butt, again likely from exposure to moisture.
