Big bore finely engraved pinfire double rifle by French maker Devisme, approximately .90 caliber (nearly 22mm!), 24” half round/half octagon barrels marked “Devisme, 36 Boulevar des Haliens A Paris” (40.5” overall); fine bores, crisp actions, fine deluxe wood stock with engraved steel butt plate that includes a trapdoor accessing compartment for a single shell. This ca 1860’s to 1870’s double is in fine to excellent original condition showing superb quality this maker was known for and is the biggest pinfire double we have ever seen!
