Interesting Winchester Model 1876 lever action saddle ring carbine, .40-60 caliber with a 28” octagon barrel (confirmed by factory letter!), S/N 54594, blued finish, wood stocks in overall good to very good condition displaying a dark patina to metal surfaces; overall good bore, crisp action, very good markings, replaced old blade insert in front sight; good wood stocks showing weathering and scattered old mars and scratches from carry and storage; also an old period inlaid brass 5-point star on left side of stock.
