U.S. Springfield Model 1884 “Trapdoor” rifle, .45-70 caliber, 32.75” barrel, S/N 363621, blued and case hardened finish, full length wood stock, iron cleaning rod. This rifle is in excellent, “minty” condition showing 99%+ of its original blue finish, vivid original case colors on the trapdoor and upper rear tang, crisp action, sharp markings, fine bore and fine wood stock with “15” stenciled in black on the right side of the butt stock. Circle “P” proof and “J” behind lower tang, crisp “SWP/1886” cartouche on left side of stock above trigger. This one would be hard to improve upon for condition! Est.: $800-$1,600.
